Monday afternoon (10/3/16) a flyover of WWII aircraft, fighters
and bombers, flew over Veterans Park as part of the Medal of Honor
ceremonies at the state capital.
They also took some Aerial views of the Veterans Park as they flew over. |

Another
103 memorial pavers were installed at Veterans Park making a grand
total of 1141 pavers honoring our military veterans. LCI Landscaping
installed the pavers supplied by Metro Brick, Inc. in record time

History of Veterans Park is available in booklet form at North St.
Paul City Hall.
It is
a complimentary gift to all who purchased a paver in Veterans Park
since the beginning and for new purchases. Please provide the name
of the veteran inscribed on each paver for our records. Extra copies
are available for a $5 donation to the Veterans Park, Inc. Fund.

Tribute To The Troops On Saturday
Sept. 9, 2017, Veterans Park was the host site for The Tribute
To The Troops run by 150 motorcycle riders honoring Sgt. Chad
Frokjer's family, Brian, Arlene and Nikki with a presentation.
On hand was one of Chad's fellow from Alpha 1/5 Marines, Tony,
who carved a wood memorial piece representing combat boots/inverted
rifle/helmet. The ceremony was an awesome tribute by the deeply
patriotic riders, many of whom were Gold Star families. Riders
were primarily from the upper Midwest with many from other far
flung states such as Oregon, North Carolina and Nebraska. |

Also, the lot across Margaret Street will start construction of the "Homes For Heroes” project to honor veterans families. |

“Housing
For Heroes” had a groundbreaking ceremony at the site across
Margaret Street from Veterans Park. The cooperative project plans
to construct a family home for Veterans with a target completion
of August 15th, the 5th Anniversary of the opening of Veterans Park.
